Southern Area Agency on Aging serves Danville, Martinsville, and the Counties of Franklin, Henry, Patrick, and Pittsylvania. It is one of 25 agencies designated by the Virginia Department for the Aging as the Area Agency on Aging for these localities.  

Southern Area Agency on Aging was founded in 1976 under the name Piedmont Seniors of Virginia.  We receive federal, state and local funds to provide services mandated under the federal Older Americans Act.
